California congressman:
I was not kicked out of Iraq! .

THE HILL  - By The Hill Staff - 06/13/11

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif.) is pushing back against reports that he was ordered to leave Iraq over the weekend

Rohrabacher, who was visiting the Middle East with other lawmakers, reportedly called for Baghdad to repay the U.S. for some of the money spent since the 2003 invasion. And that didn’t go over so well.

“We called the U.S. Embassy [Friday], and we told them to ask the congressmen to leave Iraq,” government spokesman Ali al Dabbagh said, according to an article posted on myfoxorlando.com. “We don’t want them here. What they said was inappropriate.”
In a statement, Rohrabacher denied he and his colleagues were expelled: “There was no change in our scheduling while we were in Iraq. Our itinerary remained exactly the same and we departed as scheduled. We were not officially told to leave the country before we left and were never told or warned not to come back.”
Other members who were on the trip included Reps. Russ Carnahan (D-Mo.), Ted Poe (R-Texas), Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.), Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) and Jim Costa (D-Calif.), according to CNN.
Rohrabacher noted in his release that he will be holding a hearing “into the April 8 massacre at Camp Ashraf in eastern Iraq where 35 unarmed civilians were killed and scores more injured during an attack by Iraqi soldiers.”
He added that his request for access to the site was denied by the State Department and the Iraqi government.

Iranian Regime Sends Wanted Terrorist as Envoy

Consideringthe importance of the topic we include the following story in our blog :
ISDCIRAN

"Latin America is no longer the US backyard," said Ahmad Vahidi, Iranian regime's defense minister to a state-run website,, upon his return to Iran from Bolivia, mocking his international arrest warrant issued for the 1994 bombing of a Jewish centre in Buenos Aires.
"The allegation is so worthless that it is even deemed invalid in a neighboring country," said Vahidi despite an announcement by the Bolivian government that he was told to leave.
There is no doubt that such incidents are completely pre-planned by the Iranian regime. The aim is to punch holes in the tightening grips of international laws and sanctions to render them ineffective against the regime.
Sanctions are good but only if they are rigorously implemented. The time has come to toughen up on mullahs' regime.

"They are unwelcomed in Iraq from now on," he affirmed. Al- Dabbagh harshly criticized the remarks made by the delegation members on the Ashraf camp raid.
"Their demand to conduct an investigation in the raid is categorically unacceptable and has upset Iraq," the Iraqi official said.
He went on to say that Mujahedeen-e-Khalq "is a terrorist organization should leave Iraq".
Al- Dabbagh also expressed surprise and regret from the delegation's call for Iraq to burden part of the costs of the US war on Iraq. (end) mhg.ibi KUNA 110104 Jun 11NNNN

Washington, Jun 10 -
Today, Congressman Poe visited Iraq to visit U.S. troops and meet with Iraqi officials. Congressman Poe and other Members of Congress attempted to visit Camp Ashraf where they were turned away by the Iraqi government. Congressman Poe issued the following statement in response:
“I am deeply disappointed that Members of Congress were denied access to Camp Ashraf by the Iraqi government.  Earlier in the day, we had the opportunity to meet with Prime Minister Al-Maliki for nearly two hours and heard his candid position on this complex issue. These discussions were important and productive. However, it was also important to be able to hear the position of the residents of Camp Ashraf in order to get a fair assessment from both sides of what really occurred that day. We were not allowed to hear their side of the story. It is unacceptable for the Government of Iraq to continue to silence the Iranian freedom fighters at Camp Ashraf.”

In his speech last month about the seismic shifts unfolding in the Middle East, President Obama referred to the "shouts of human dignity... being heard across the region" and said, "The question before us is what role America will play as this story unfolds."
The ousting of several dictators in recent months, the latest being Ali Abdullah Saleh of Yemen, and calls for democracy echoing across the region, are clear signals that change is inevitable. That is partly why the president stressed, "There must be no doubt that the United States of America welcomes change that advances self-determination and opportunity."

Considering that Ashraf’s residents have the status of protected persons under the 4th Geneva Convention, guaranteeing their protection is an international necessity and for this reason we consider compulsory relocation of Ashraf residents inside Iraq a non-realistic option.

We also support your emphasis at the European Parliament on May 11, when you once again strongly condemned the massacre of 35 defenseless residents of Ashraf and called for a peaceful solution and active intervention of European commission and European Parliament, and we ask you to immediately implement the necessary actions in order to carry out the proposed European plan and end the atrocities of Iraqi government at Ashraf.
